Privacy
champgraph sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising. The only things it stores in your browser are ones you ask it to: see What your browser keeps below. The fonts and photographs are served from this site itself, so reading a chart sends nothing to anyone else. What is left is what any website needs to reach you, set out below.

Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, which processes this data on my behalf under its data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR). To deliver a page, Cloudflare necessarily processes your IP address and the details of the request — the page asked for, the time, your browser — and may keep them in its logs to keep the service secure and running. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in delivering the site safely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Cloudflare does not publish a fixed period for these logs; it keeps them as long as those purposes and its legal obligations require. I do not keep any logs of my own; Cloudflare shows me only aggregated figures, such as how many requests the site received. Data may be processed in the USA; Cloudflare is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has found an adequate level of protection (Art. 45 GDPR). See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
What your browser keeps
Two small notes, each written only when you do something, kept in your browser's local storage on your device and never sent to me or anyone else:
- Light or dark. If you choose light or dark paper in the menu, the word
lightordark, under the namepaper, so the next page opens the same way. Choosing Auto deletes it. - The welcome. If you close the welcome above a chart, a note under the name
welcomed, so it is not shown to you again.
Nothing is stored if you do neither, and clearing your browser's data for this site deletes both. They are kept because you asked for them, which the law allows without consent (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG).
If you write to me, I use your address and your message only to answer you, and delete them when the conversation is over, unless the law requires me to keep them. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
About the boxers
The charts show world champions and their opponents: their names, the country they fought for, their dates of birth and the results of their professional fights. This is published information about their public careers, taken from Wikipedia and Wikidata, and shown to document the history of boxing's world titles — my legitimate interest, and the public's in that history (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A boxer who finds something wrong about themselves, or who objects to its being shown, can write to me, and I will correct it or take it down where the law requires; corrections on Wikipedia or Wikidata reach the charts the next time they are read.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16), erased (Art. 17) or its processing restricted (Art. 18), and to object to its processing (Art. 21). For any of these, write to contact@champgraph.app.
You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The one responsible for this site is the Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HmbBfDI).
